Kuroshitsuji: Chainsaw Detail

This is a full size prop replica of Grell Sutcliffe's chainsaw from the anime Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), made on commission.

After drafting out some blueprints for the construction, I had the parts laser cut out of MDF and mountboard.
The prop is built from MDF, and the raised details are mountboard.

After gluing together, the prop was then sanded down where necessary, and a coat of primer was applied.

It is painted with spray acrylic paints and metallic wax.

The blade is detachable for ease of transportation.
